Seattle was a German cargo and passenger ship that was launched at Hamburg in 1928 for the Hamburg America Line. After escaping Dutch internment at Curaçao in 1940, she reached Norway but was caught in the crossfire between German invasion forces and Norwegian coastal artillery. She was hit and set on fire on 9 April 1940 and later sank off Kristiansand, Norway. Today the wreck lies between 22 and 72 m depth and is a popular destination for divers.
