English: This steet is named Gonçalo de Lagos who was a Friar of the Order of St. Augustine Hermits, who was born in Lagos, Portugal and was a son of fishermen. He dedicated himself to preaching. He is venerated by the fisherman of the Algarve and is widely known as São Gonçalo de Lagos. He was made Blessed by Pope Pius VI in 1798.
