English: Châu phê (硃批) - The Nguyễn dynasty's Imperial records (Châu bản triều Nguyễn) are administrative records created during the transaction of Nguyen dynasty (1802-1945) in its state management activities, including records created by the Emperors, records created by agencies in the government system submitted to the Emperor for approval in red ink and some diplomatic documents. In early Nguyễn dynasty (in the first half of the 19th century) under the reigns of Emperors Gia Long, Minh Mạng, Thiệu Trị, Tự Đức, the Imperial records were written in Classical Chinese (Chữ Hán) and Chữ Nôm (Chinese-transcribed Vietnamese); the Imperial records created in late Nguyen dynasty (in the late 19th to early 20th century) were mainly in the French language and Vernacular Vietnamese.
