Collection of images taken and annotated by Nora Belle Conklin (1902-1963). Her husband was Ralph Freudenberg (1903-1980). The images are of the Freudenberg extended family and the people of Westbrookville, New York and the surrounding Orange County and Sullivan County area. Nora Belle Conklin was born in the Westbrookville area and later inherited a house from Bertha Janette Piatt (1887-1978). The images of the Freudenberg family compliment the Bernhard Hans Schwerin family archive housed in the Jewish Museum Berlin. Those images are of the side of the family that remained in Berlin, Germany up until the time of the Holocaust. The Ralph Freudenberg (1903-1980) and Nora Belle Conklin (1902-1963) collection depicts the Freudenbergs that migrated to the United States prior to the Holocaust.
