English: Routemaster bus RM23 (last reg. JFO 256, ex-VLT 23 and LGH 31T) was delivered to London Transport in June 1959. It was used in London until withdrawal in 1987, and as training bus until 1993. In July 1994 it was re-registered as LGH 31T and stored/used as a crew bus, before being sold to dealer PVS (Carlton) in the November. From 1995 to 2000 it served in the Reading Mainline fleet (23), being re-registered as JFO 256 from July 1995. In 2000 it was one of a batch of buses bought back by London Bus Services Ltd, being rebuilt and re-engined (Cummins) by Marshall's of Cambridge, for further use. It went into operation on route 13 for Sovereign Bus & Coach, before being finally withdrawn in October 2005, and sold the follwing May. By November 2007, it had been exported to Russia.
