English: Routemaster bus RM1357, Marina, (reg. 357 CLT) was delivered to London Transport in December 1962, with a Leyland engine. It saw use in London until withdrawn in September 1982. After 6 years, it then saw further public transport use outside London in the Blackpool Transport fleet (528) and then the Reading Mainline fleet (34) (who fitted it with another Leyland engine). In 2000 it passed to the Royal Navy for use as a Sea Cadets training unit, with the interior converted to resemble a submarine, and given the name Marina. Painted blue and white externally, it toured the country in this use, before going into storage at the Royal Navy Submarine Museum at Hasler Creek, Gosport, Hampshire. In 2009 the bus was bought for preservation, repainted into London Transport livery and with the interior returned to standard. RM1357 factsheet
