English: The first bridge was built in 1855, but destroyed by the flooding of the river before being opened to public. After a failed attempt to build a second bridge (also destroyed), in 1859 a third bridge was inaugurated and named "Valentín Alsina". In 1910 the bridge was replaced by a structure made of iron. The definitive (and fifth) bridge was inaugurated in 1938 under the name "José F. Uriburu". In 2002 its older name was restored. - source: here
