English: These oil-painted portraits bear witness to five centuries of charity by the Monzese towards their hospital. For the 19th and 20th centuries, these were for the most part works executed in a gratuatory form, i.e. post-mortem, by copying the subject from a photograph.
Italiano: Questi ritratti dipinti a olio testimoniano cinque secoli di beneficenza dei monzesi nei riguardi del loro Ospedale. Per i secoli XIX e XX si tratta per la maggior parte di opere eseguite in forma gratulatoria, ossia post mortem, copiando il soggetto da una fotografia.
