Former police station and local satellite jail, St. Phillip Street at uptown river corner of Dorgenois Street, New Orleans. Built of brick & terracotta, designed and constructed under the supervision of City Engineer Captain William Joseph Hardee, it was completed in 1902. In the 1950s it was converted to a library and community center. City owned but vacant and in decay for a decade after Hurricane Katrina and the "Federal Flood" of 2005. In 2017 in was restored and reopened as a bed & breakfast inn.
