English: Pilgrim was a sloop designed by George A. Stewart & Arthur Binney and built in 1893 at the Pusey & Jones shipyard, Delaware for a syndicate headed by Bayard Thayer. She was a candidate for the 1893 America's Cup defence. Featuring a very deep fin-bulb keel and skippered by Charles Francis Adams III, she proved difficult to steer.
