Deutsch: Die Pépinière wurde 1795 in Berlin als Anstalt zur Aus- und Weiterbildung von Militärärzten gegründet. Sie war somit neben der Charité die – eher handwerklich orientierte – zweite Chirurgenschule in Berlin. 1895 erfolgte die Umbenennung in Kaiser-Wilhelm-Akademie für das militärärztliche Bildungswesen.
