English: North Lodge Park is an area of parkland and public amenity area located on the cliff top on the eastern side of the town of Cromer in the county of Norfolk in the United Kingdom. The original part of the park was laid out on land which had originally been owned by Sir Bartholemew Rede who bequeathed it to Goldsmith’s Company of London with provisions that any profit should be used to fund a school for boys. The building known as North Lodge was constructed by Goldsmiths' Co in 1837 and was built as a lodging house along with a small stable block which now houses a small café and children's nursery. The land and buildings were eventually leased to the banking family of Joseph Hoars in 1857. The Hoars used it as there summer residence and purchased the property's freehold in 1895. In 1928 the property was sold at auction following the death of Douro Hoare, Joseph's widow. Along with a further parcel of land to the east called Doctor’s Steps Field, The Lodge and the surrounding property was purchased by Cromer Urban District Council. The council converted the Lodge to the offices for the council and the grounds where laid to lawn and flowerbeds were created. In the 1930 the Urban council bought up further packets of land to enlarge the popular parkland which included the cliff top to the north of the park. This included the purchase of the Rocket House Gardens and a cafe was built at the foot of the cliffs. Following the end of the second World War more land to the east was purchased and the putting green was enlarged. The Park continues to be a very popular park for locals and visitors to the town.
