History[edit]

  • built 1883 by H.C. Stülcken Sohn, Hamburg, as fifth of eleven pilot vessels in the river Elbe;
  • 1924 owned by Warwick M. Tompkins as yacht WANDER BIRD;
  • 2002 sold to Stiftung Maritim, Hamburg, and restaurated until 2006, becoming again ELBE;
  • 2019 involved in a collision in the river Elbe with severe damage;
