English: Nal was a steel-hulled four-masted barque, built in 1892 as Lord Ripon by Grangemouth Dockyard Co., Alloa. She was originally owned by J. Herron & Co, Liverpool. She was sold in 1898 to Rhederei Visurgis AG, Bremen, andrenamed Nal. In 1914 she was interned at Caleta Coloso for the duration of WW1. In 1921 she was sold to Baltische & Weissmeer Schiffahrt GmbH, Danzig. In 1922 she sprang a leak and was abandoned off Cape Horn and sunk near Wollaton Island. The crew was saved.
Dimensions: length × beam × depth = 318 × 43.2 × 24.5 ft (96.9 × 13.1 × 7.4 m). Tonnages: 2,765 GRT and 2,627 NRT and she was rigged with double top and topgallant sails, royals and skysails.[1][2]
