English: The Mirabal Sisters Campus, located at 21 Jumel Place between West 167th Street and Edgecombe Avenue in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, was built in 1993-94 and was designed by Richard Dattner & Associates. It opened as I.S. 90, The Mirabal Sisters School, a community school operated in cooperation with the Children's Aid Society. In 2004, it was divided into three middle schools, M.S. 319, the Maria Theresa Middle School; M.S. the Minerva Middle School; and M.S. 324, the Patria Mirabal Middle School. The Mirabal Sisters were four opponents of the Trujillo dictatorship in the Dominican Republic, three of whom were assassinated by the regime on November 25, 1960 .
