Marion Frazer was a four-masted steel barque built in 1892 by Charles Connell & Co., Glasgow for (the Marion Line) Rogers & Co., Glasgow. Dimensions: 89,91×13,10×7,33 metres [295'0"×43'0"×24'1"] and tonnage: 2,396 GRT and 2,264 NRT. Rigged with royal sails over double top and topgallant sails. Damaged by fire loading nitrate at Iquique on 10 October 1910, bought by Andrew Weir & Co on 15 February 1911 for conversion to a hulk. Converted to a steamship and renamed Pisagua in 1920. Wrecked in a gale 4 June 1928 at Valparaiso while being used for storage.[1][2]

Messrs Rogers & Co, 204 Bath Street, Glasgow. Josiah Roger, was her owner, his vessels were named after his wife , Marion and it was she who gave the title "Marion Line", to the company. The other ships of the line were Marion Ballantyne, Marion Crosbie, Marion Inglis, Marion Josiah and Marion Lightbody.[3]
