English: The Marikina Sports Center was completed in 1969, with Architect Ruperto Cecilio Gaite (1925–) as its author. Sculptor Eugenio Bunuán (1938/39?–1978) created the bas-reliefs on its western façade. 12 recent sculptures of athletes adorn four "corners" of the track and field, part of citywide artistic project "Naghihintay ng Bayani" created by local craftsmen and designed by Architect Ernesto "Bong" Leaño. According to Lakbay ng Lakan blog, the four sculptures at the northern tower are likely made by the same team who created Naghihintay ng Bayani sculptures. The Victory Arch was completed in 2002, the Bell Arch undefined date, and "Robot City" sculptures in 2007 by Mark David O. Cerezo (1984–). (source 1, source 2)
