English: Loch Carron was a four-masted iron-hulled ship built in 1885 by Barclay, Curle & Co., Glasgow for J. Hardie & Co., Glasgow (Loch Line). Dimensions: length × beam × depth: = 287.6 × 42.4 × 24.1 ft (87.6 × 12.9 × 7.3 m) and tonnage 2128 GRT and 2075 NRT. Rigged with double top and topgallant sails and royal sails. 1904 the Loch Carron ollided with the Inverkip 60 miles from the Fastnet Light. Inverkip sank. In the same year the Loch Carron were rerigged to a barque. 1912 sold to A/S Christianssand (Sven Stray & Co.), Kristiansand, Norway, and renamed Seileren. 1915 collided and was sunk by the steamer Vittoria at Torr Head, Scotland, on voyage from the Clyde to Savannah.^[1][2]
