The coastal transport ship Lipari (A 5352), built by Cantiere Mario Morini, has been launched on May 5, 1987 as MTC 1015. The ship has been designed as auxiliary logistic support and fitted with a broad loading deck. The unit is equipped with a small clinic where to provide a first medical assistance to injured persons. Since December 2014 the vessel depends from CINCNAV by means of COMFLOTAUS SPEZIA.
