日本語: 袈裟御前は、平安時代末期の節婦。遠藤盛遠に殺され盛遠が出家する原因となった。文覚となった盛遠は彼女の菩提を弔うべく、京都市下京区下鳥羽の恋塚寺を建立した。
English: Lady Kesa was a Heian era woman. She was murdered by Endô Moritô, who became a Buddhist monk to atone. He took the name of Mongaku, and to bring Kesa happiness in the afterlife, later founded the Koizuka-dera of Shimotoba village in Shimogyô ward of Kyoto.
