Deutsch: Die evangelisch-lutherische Kirche Hohen Thekla in Leipzig-Thekla, Sachsen, gehört und dient einer evangelisch-lutherischen Gemeinde der Evangelisch-Lutherischen Landeskirche Sachsens. Der Name geht zurück auf den Berg, auf dem sie liegt, der Hohentichel, Hohentiegel oder auch Hohentechla genannt wurde. Vermutlich war sie dem heiligen Nikolaus geweiht. Nach dem Dreißigjährigen Krieg kam als Missverständnis der Name St.-Thekla-Kirche auf.
English: The Evangelical Lutheran Hohen Thekla Church in Thekla (a locality of Leipzig), Saxony, Germany, is owned and used by a Lutheran congregation within the Evangelical Lutheran State Church of Saxony. The church is named after the hill, on which it is located which used to be called Hohentichel, Hohentiegel or Hohentechla. The last spelling caused the misinterpretation as Saint Thecla church.
