Opened in 1919 at the southeast corner of Second and Hamilton Streets (164-170 Hamilton). The building itself had been erected in 1885 and was used for various industrial and commercial purposes. The bank failed in 1931 during the Great Depression after a "run" by depositors of withdraws that the back could not satisfy.. The depositors were eventually paid back the monies they had on deposit at the bank in a series of payments. The last payment was made in July 1946.

The bank building itself stood vacant after the failure until 1945 when it was sold to a manufacturing company who renovated the bank to its own needs. In 1957 the building was declared unsafe by Allentown building inspectors and was vacated. It stood vacant until May, 1963 when it was razed. The land has since been redeveloped for other uses.
