English: Inverness was a composite-hulled three-masted barque. Hall, Russell & Co. Ltd, Aberdeen built her in 1869 for J&R Grant, London. Dimensions: 180.4 × 32.1 × 19.1 ft (54.9 × 9.7 × 5.8 m). Tonnages: 742 GRT, 722 NRT. She was wrecked 20 December 1896 on Japarica Bank, between Caete and Salinas, Brazil, on voayge London – Para (Belem - i.e. wrecked near mouth of River Amazon).[1][2]
