Built in 1961 by Southern Shipbuilding of Slidell, Louisiana as the YTB-761 "Ottumwa" (hull #39) for the United States Navy. In 2004, she was acquired by the Manke Tug and Barge Company of Shelton, Washington. Where she was renamed as the Holly Ann.
