Description

Français : Sépulture de René Just Haüy (1743-1822), minéralogiste fondateur, avec Jean-Baptiste Romé de L'Isle, de la cristallographie géométrique ; et son frère Valentin Haüy (1745-1822). L'un des premiers à s'intéresser au devenir socio-culturel des aveugles ; il fonda à Paris la première école pour aveugles, devenue depuis l'Institut national des jeunes aveugles. Il mit également au point leur matériel de lecture et s'attacha à promouvoir leur insertion par le travail.
