Sigismund Samuel Hahn, Hamburg freedom fighter during Napoleonic wars and medical doctor, was originally buried at the Jewish Grindel cemetery in Hamburg. After its demolition during Nazi Regime in 1937, Hahn's grave was transferred to the Jewish Cemetery Ohlsdorf, department Grindel-Friedhof, Ilandkoppel 68 in Hamburg-Ohlsdorf. There (situated northeast of the area ) Hahn's obelisk is near to that of Georg Hartog Gerson.
