English: Iron-hulled four-masted ship built in 1878 by Dobie & Co, Govan. Dimensions: 76.90 × 12.19 × 6.80 meters [252'4" × 40'0" × 22'4"]. Tonnages: 1,621 GRT, 1,564 NRT and 1,506 tons under deck. The second smallest four-masted barque ever built; only Tweedsdale of 1,460 GRT was smaller. Launched for J&A Allan, Glasgow. UK official number 78625, code letters RPVH. Mostly employed in the India trade. Captain Tannock was her first Master. She was a fully-rigged ships until about 1885–86, when she was reduced to a barque. Wrecked 1907 at Polycarp Cove, Cape San Paulo, Staten Island, on voyage from Rochester, England, to Seattle, WA, with a cargo of cement.[1][2]
