English: Accepted colours:
  • eumelanin must be black
  • yellow with mask ("fawn", preferred) or without ("tan")
  • brindle (clear pattern preferred, acceptable as long as a trace of brindling is visible)
  • white markings and pied pattern are accepted

Accepted but nonpreferred:

  • whites with pigmented nose and eyelids
  • cream and red variations of yellow and brindle
  • marked or pied dogs with less than fully pigmented eye rims, noses, lips
Unaccepted colours include
  • eumelanin may not be diluted (liver/chocolate or cocoa and/or blue)
  • solid or pied black without a trace of brindling
  • any variation of a black-and-tan pattern
  • merle.
