Deutsch: Franz Ludwig Späth (* 25. Februar 1839 in Berlin; † 2. Februar 1913 in Britz) gründete 1863 eine Baumschule (Baumschule Späth) im heutigen Südosten Berlins (im danach benannten Ortsteil Berlin-Baumschulenweg), welche die fünfte Generation der seit 1720 bestehenden Gemüse- und Blumengärtnerei Späth repräsentierte und bis Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts die größte Baumschule der Welt war
