Deutsch: Franz Blazek (* 1887 Wien; † 1941 Berlin) war deutsch-österreichischer Bildhauer, Medailleur, Maler und Keramiker. Nach einer Meisterlehre bei seinem Vater studierte er an den Kunstgewerbeschulen in Wien und Berlin, danach an der Unterrichtsanstalt des Königlichen Kunstgewerbemuseums Berlin. 1919–1934 war er Leiter der Bildhauerklasse an der Kieler Handwerker- und Kunstgewerbeschule. 1937 wurde er nach Berlin berufen.

English: Franz Blazek(* 1887 Vienna; † 1941 Berlin) was a German-Austrian sculptor, medalist, painter and ceramist. After an apprenticeship with his father, he studied at the arts and crafts schools in Vienna and Berlin, then at the teaching institute of the Royal Museum of Arts and Crafts in Berlin. From 1919 to 1934 he was head of the sculpture class at the Kiel School of Crafts and Applied Arts. In 1937 he was called to Berlin.
Not to be confused with the Czech architect František Blažek (* 1863 Zálší; † 1944 Prague)
