English: The four winds cap (Sámi: čiehgahpir), is the traditional brimless four-pointed men's headwear worn by the Sámi, the scandinavian reindeer herders. These [boiled felt or] cloth caps feature four peaked points, uniformly spaced around the hat's headband circumference. Stuffed in winter with down feathers [or other adequate matérials], the filled ... spires radiate horizontally from the wearer'shead. They may have fur trim along with red and yellow fabric strips encirling the base and attached steamers dropping downward[1].
