English: Fortuna was an iron barque, built in 1875 by R. & H. Green, Blackwall, London, at a cost of £ 46.500. The ship was built under the name Melbourne as full-rigged ship. Dimensions: about 269'8" × 40'1" × 23'7" and tonnage: 1,965 GRT, 1,857 NRT and 1,852 tons under deck. She had two decks and had a forecastle of 42 feet and a poop of 69 feet. 1904 sold to J. Bryde, Sandefjord, Norway, for £4,500 and renamed Fortuna. 1909 sold to Wallarah Coal Co. (Lund), Sydney, to be a coal hulk. 1953 broken up in Sydney.[1][2]
