  • Flags that have been mistakenly attributed to historical countries and dynasties in Vietnamese history. These flags have been used by (or invented by) Wikipedians, history scholars, academics, and even educational institutions such as the Museum of the Military History of Vietnam. They are often used to propagate their Vietnamese ultranationalists agendas. There is no evidence that these flags existed in Vietnamese history.
  • Fictitious or proposal flags of communities, provinces, ethnicities, or proposal states.
