Nederlands: Het Korps Rijdende Artillerie was tussen 1881 en 1940 gehuisvest in de Willemskazerne in Arnhem. De foto's in deze collectie zijn rond 1900 genomen tijdens een oefening in aanwezigheid van dames. De opvallende uniformen bestonden uit een "donkerblauwe dolman, een kort jasje zonder panden of schoten, met gele dubbele lissen aan de voorkant, en de kolbak, een van berenvacht vervaardigd hoofddeksel. De gele koorden en lissen op de dolman bezorgden de eenheid de officieuze naam 'Gele Rijders'."^[1]

English: The Willemskazerne ("Willem Barracks") in Arnhem was the home base of the Horse Artillery Corps between 1881 and 1940. The photographs, which were taken around 1900, show an exercise at a training ground. The striking uniforms with golden braiding, that earned the unit its nickname "Yellow Riders", are clearly visible. The whole scene, with the bearskins, guns, horses, and the ladies with their dresses and hats does not merely paint an a picture of military practice, but also of society at the turn of the century.'
