English: In 1957, the San Francisco Municipal Railway leased 66 PCC streetcars from the declining St. Louis Public Service Company. The cars were renumbered as 1101-1166 and supplemented Muni's existing fleet, allowing retirement of older heavyweight cars and the earliest PCCs. In 1962, four more cars arrived as 1167-1170, and Muni bought the cars outright. Most were sold and scrapped, although some remain intact elsewhere for possible reuse. Cars 1103, 1106, 1108, 1115, 1125, 1130, 1139, 1140, 1158, 1160, 1168, and 1704 (ex-1128) are still owned by Muni but not operational. No. 1153 is preserved at the Western Railway Museum, while 1118 and 1159 are preserved at the Oregon Electric Railway Museum.
