Equitable House was from 1935-1989 the head office of the Woolwich Equitable Building Society (The Woolwich) and from 1989-2007 a branch office. In 2011 it was converted into a commercial building with a pub, a cafe and shops on the ground floor, and Maritime Greenwich College, later South London College renting the upper floors. In 2016-17 the upper floors were converted into apartments.
