English: Edenmore was a steel-hulled full-rigged ship, built as Edenballymore by Russell & Co, Port Glasgow (yard No 224) for Thomson Dickie and Co, Glasgow (Edenballymore Ship Co). 1901 (or 1900) sold to the Edenmore Ship Co. (Lang & Fulton), Greenock, and renamed Edenmore. 1909 stranded at Papa Stronsay, Orkney Islands, and became a total loss. All her crew of 25 were saved and part of her cargo was salvaged later, but on December 5th a gale completely destroyed her. Some sources say she was also looted by the locals.
Dimensions: length × beam × depth = 260 × 38 × 23 ft (79.2 × 11.5 × 7 m). Tonnages: 1,726 GRT and 1,642 NRT.[1][2][3]
