Le Tour du monde is a French magazine that was published weekly from 1857 to 1914. Ecuador in the pages of "Le Tour du Monde" is the first and only fully illustrated compilation of travel stories about Ecuador that appeared in the legendary French magazine. It constitutes an editorial milestone in travel literature not only in Ecuador but also in Latin America. Last night, Vice Chancellor Marco Albuja participated in the presentation of the work; Vice Minister of Culture, Wilson Mayorga; the Director of Cultural and Intercultural Promotion, Luis Mueckay; the translator and protractor of the work, Jorge Gómez Rendón. This book brings together, in its translation into Spanish, all the articles that appeared about Ecuador in the French magazine from the mid-nineteenth century to 1913, an illustrated work and a broad introductory study written by Jorge Gómez Rendón, who is also the translator of the texts in French The work was edited by the National Council of Culture of the Ecuadorian Ministry of Culture.
