English: Eastern Monarch was a full-rigged ship built by Mounsey & Foster at Sunderland for the Royal Exchange Shipping Company for their emigrant as well as normal passenger traffic to colonies such as Australia and New Zealand. She was one of four sister ships. In 1996 she was abandoned at sea and never salvaged.
Her dimensions were: length × beam × depth = 78.2 × 12.3 × 7.2 m, she had a tonnage of 1769 GRT and rigged with double topgallant sails and a main skysail.[1][2]
