The unit shown here, serial number 6115, was made in 1986. Judging by the wear on the play and stop buttons, it was once in very frequent use, probably at a radio station or at a duplicating shop. It was mechanically overhauled and aligned in 2016, and has seen at least two partial capacitor replacements (judging by very distinct assortments of capacitor brands and soldering habits). The heads still look fine, wow and flutter are exemplary - the transport will certainly outlast current owner. Now is the time for an all-out replacement of all capacitors, all open-type trim pots, and replacement of selected critical CMOS switches with good old relays.
