English: Luton's coat of arms was granted when Luton became a borough in 1876. It is used on various signs, buildings etc. throughout Luton, and the logo of Luton Town F.C. is based on it. It is sometimes shown with its motto, "Scientiæ et labori detur". See the Luton wikipedia article for more information about its symbolism and history.
