The original Coat of arms of the City of Birmingham, England, incorporating a fess (horizontal band) of ermine. The arms changed from 1 April 1974 when Sutton Coldfield was incorporated into Birmingham (and the county of West Midlands was created); see Category:Coat of arms of Birmingham (post 1974).

Different arms were used when Birmingham was a borough (1838-1889): see Category:Coat of arms of the Borough of Birmingham.
