Deutsch: Die St.-Bavo-Kathedrale ist die Bischofskirche des römisch-katholischen Bistums Haarlem-Amsterdam. Das Kirchengebäude wurde 1895 bis 1930 als Nachfolger der Waterstaatskirche St. Joseph errichtet. Diese Kirche war bei der Wiedererrichtung des Bistums 1855 der neue Bischofssitz anstelle der St.-Bavo-Kirche, die durch die Reformation seit 1578 zur Protestantischen Kirche gehört.

English: The Cathedral of Saint Bavo is a religious building in Haarlem, the Netherlands, built by the Catholics from 1895 to 1930 to replace the former waterstaatskerk in the Jansstraat called the St. Joseph. That church was itself a replacement for the Sint-Bavokerk, that had been converted to Protestantism from Catholicism in 1578. The Cathedral of Saint Bavo now serves as the main cathedral for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Haarlem-Amsterdam. Within the Cathedral, the former sacristy has been converted into a small museum (schatkamer) containing historical artefacts from Haarlem's Catholic past.

Elle est dédiée à Saint-Bavon de Gand, et reste la deuxième plus grande église des Pays-Bas après la cathédrale Saint-Jean.

Nederlands: De Kathedrale Basiliek Sint Bavo is een rooms-katholieke kerk in Haarlem die fungeert als kathedraal van het bisdom Haarlem-Amsterdam. Het gebouw is ontworpen door Jos Cuypers. De bouw werd aangevangen in 1895. De kerk kwam gereed in 1930. De kerk is gewijd aan de Heilige Bavo, de patroonheilige van de stad, wiens verering afkomstig is uit Gent waarmee Haarlem een handelsrelatie had. Op 2 mei 1948 is de Sint Bavokerk tot basiliek verheven. In hetzelfde jaar kon het gebouw als kathedraal in gebruik genomen worden. Het gebouw is de enige rooms-katholieke kathedraal in Nederland die ook daadwerkelijk voor die kerkfunctie is gebouwd. De andere kerken die deze functie vervullen hebben de bisschopszetel pas later binnen de muren gekregen. Daarnaast is een aantal kerken die wel als kathedraal zijn gebouwd (bijvoorbeeld de Dom van Utrecht) deze functie door de reformatie kwijtgeraakt. De kathedrale basiliek Sint Bavo is, na de Sint-Janskathedraal in Den Bosch, de grootste kerk van Nederland.
