Français : Du v^e siècle à la Révolution, Uzès est le siège épiscopal avec sa cathédrale construite en 1090. Détruite lors de la guerre des Albigeois, reconstruite, puis détruite à nouveau lors des guerres de religion, seule subsistera tour campanile (amputée de deux étages). La cathédrale actuelle date de 1652. La façade de style néo-roman a été plaquée en 1873 sur l'ancien édifice.
