The Cameron Piano Company was founded by E. Duncan and John M. Cameron in 1907. Initially known as the J M and E D Cameron Company, it was located at 905 Hamilton Street, selling pianos and other musical instruments.

In 1913, John Cameron left the buisness and the company became the Cameron Piano Company. In 1917, Cameron entered the United States Army during World War I, and he temporarly discontinued the buisness, but opened a service office at 49 North 10th Street. The store re-opened in 1919. In JUly 1925, the building was purchaced for the construction of the PP&L building, and Camron relocated accross the street at 928-930 Hamilton in August.

He expanded his store in the 1920s with the advent of radio and also selling record players and records, along with furnature. In January 1935 expanded his company to selling radios, pianos, and electric appliances, selling off the furniture part of the buisness to Benesh and Son's Furniture. He again moved to a new location at 951 Hamilton in April 1940.

E Duncan Cameron suddenly passed away in March 1945, having suffered a heart attack. With his passing, the buisness closed.
