English: The Cairngorm was a British composite tea clipper, built 1853 by A. HALL & Co., Aberdeen (yard no. 183) for Messrs Jardine, Mathison & Co.[1]Tonnage: 980 tons Length: 200 ft (60.9 m), Beam: 36.5 ft (11.1 m), Depth: 20.5 ft (624.8 cm). Best known captain was J. Robertson. Wrecked on 29 September 1863 whilst attempting to enter the River Min.[2]
