A Business coupe is a closed two door automobile seating 2 or 3 people in a single row. In the rear is a deck lid for a traveling business man's samples (hence the name). There is either no division to the passenger room or one that is removable, so that the space behind the passengers is usable for storing too, and accessible from both the inside of the car or outside from the rear. This body style was popular in from the late 1910s until the early 1950s. It often represented the cheapest offering of a specific model line, and was widely replaced by popularly prized yet comfortable station wagons which by then became available.
