• 1908 Named Burwah for Australian Steamships Limited, owned & managed by Howard Smith Co. Limited, of Melbourne, Australia (collectively "Howard"),
• 07.05.1913, William Malcolm, 2nd mate, fell overboard & was drowned.
• 07.07.1926 At 7 p.m. that day, Cooma with about 200 passengers aboard ran aground in heavy seas on the southernmost section of North Reef, about 80 miles from Rockhampton, near Heron Island, Queensland. Burwah responded to the SOS and rescued Cooma's passengers via 2 lifeboats from each of Cooma, Burwah & Ulooloo; the lifeboats towed to Burwah by 3 launches of HMS Moresby. No loss of life.

• 16.08.1937 Grounded on a mud bar at the harbour at Newcastle, New South Wales.
• 25.12.1937 Rescued the 39 person crew of Saros, which went aground in heavy fog at Point Hicks (Cape Everard), on the Gippsland coast and landed them at Sydney.
• 1947 Sold to Tsu-Yau Lin, of China. Renamed: Chi Hwa.
• 1948 Sold to Tai Ho Steamship Co., of China. Renamed: Dah Tung.
• 16.02.1951 Arrived at Hong Kong to be scrapped.
