Français : Bien visible depuis le port et aligné sur le méridien à des fins d’observation, le bâtiment 20 dans le lieu historique national du Canada de la Citadelle-de-Québec, aussi appelé la maison Ball et l’Ancien observatoire et ancienne tour de la boule, est un édifice de maçonnerie compacte, de deux étages, qui fait intervenir plusieurs formes architecturales. La partie rectangulaire du toit en pignon correspond à l’ancien observatoire tandis que la section carrée supportait anciennement l’installation de la boule surmontée par une antenne. L’entrée se fait par le petit porche du rez-de-chaussée, qui a pour fonction de joindre les deux parties du bâtiment et dont le toit est toujours surmonté de sa tourelle de bois ancienne.
English: Clearly seen from the harbour and aligned on the meridian for observation purposes, Building 20 in the Québec Citadel National Historic Site of Canada, also known as the Ball House, and Former Observatory and Ball Tower, is a compact, tall, two-storey stone structure of several architectural shapes. The rectangular section with a gabled roof was the former observatory and the square section formerly housed the ball installation topped with an antenna. The building is entered from the ground floor of its small porch, which joins the two buildings and whose roof supports an old wooden.
