Gaston Descollas, Bugatti agent in Marseille, ordered a type 57 C chassis for his client Charles Olivero, a wealthy jeweler from Marseilles, who wanted bodywork in the style of Delahayes by Figoni. According to some the work was entrusted to Gangloff in Colmar, according to the "Bugatti-Magnum" to Saoutchik.
